Sweet Valley High Nowhere to run
This book sort of reminds me of Cinderella because the evil stepmother but this time there are no evil step sisters. Emily Mayer had always lived with her dad because her mother ran away. Emily just tells everyone her mother's dead because she has no idea if her mother is dead or alive. Emily had always wanted her dad to find another partner/wife but when he got a partner Emily absolutely hates it. Emily is a musician she plays the drums her dad started teaching her when she was younger. When her stepmother comes into the scene Emily feels like she's taking everything that she loves away from her such as her father and the drums. Emily tries to make things work with her stepmother by arranging a deal that Emily was aloud to practice drums at certain times then after her stepmother could put the new baby to bed. I have quite a few of these books, I don't really like them but some of them are alright/decent. Their only about 200-300 pages long as well so that's good. ;)
