Protocols for publishing posts and comments on the blog.

This is a school document and should be treated as such.  Anything posted on this site will be treated the same as anything written or said at school.  If in doubt think "Would I write this in my book at school?"  Posts and comments should be written using our JDIs and appropriate images and language used.  Abbreviated language or slang is not acceptable.

 I encourage you to comment on posts but remember that any criticisms should be positive.  If you think somebody could improve what they have written explain how it could be improved.  For example..."I found it hard to understand what you were saying and think that using punctuation will help next time."

Parents and caregivers are also encouraged to add their comments.  Your experiences are valued and when we are discussing books your recommendations will be greatly received.

Hunger Games #1 17/20

This book is about 12 districts, use to be 13 but the 13th district turned on the Capital so it got destroyed. From each district 2 people get chosen to go to the Hunger Games, which is a game that was made up to entertain the Capital. This game is where you have to kill in order to survive, last person alive wins. Only 1 person can win but this time it's different.  I really enjoyed reading the hunger games because it's one of those books that makes you want to keep reading. When you're really tired and decide to go to sleep your mind stays awake and is thinking about what's going to happen next.

Boys don't cry 16/20



This book is about a 17 year old, turns 18 further on. He has his whole life planned out and a bright future ahead of him. All was right until all was left. His ex girlfriend turns up to his house one day and she has a baby girl with her. She claims it to be his daughter. She asks him to look after her (Emma) for 5 minutes but does a runner. Dante lives with his brother and father, his mother passed away. At first Dante wasn't very fond of Emma. In the end Dante overcame every obstacle in his way. He grew very fond of Emma. On his eighteenth birthday his brother (Adam), and him went out for dinner. When they were walking home they got jumped and Adam got severe injuries. Most people will not understand the meaning of the title until they read the whole book. As much as I would love to spoil it for you, I won't because I know how annoying that is. I rate this a 10/10!

Fat Bogging, squat Bunce, and skinny Bean have joined forces, and they have Mr. Fox and his family surrounded. What they don’t know is that they’re not dealing with just any fox–Mr. Fox would never surrender. But only the most fantastic plan ever can save him now. The reason why the farmers a trying to get him is because at night he sneaks  out to  the house and always steals the chickens and the athor reason is because they want to eat it and his family. I rate this book a 5/3 because it was not that interesting.

Charlie's house is so small for his big family of six his house only has two rooms and one bed his family has four elders called Grandpa Joe, Grandma Josephine, Grandpa George and Grandma Georgian all four of the grandparents have to share the bed because all four of them are tired and to old to walk. Then they lived happily ever after inside the chocolate factory.

From the first paragraph to the last, we felt we were in the hands of a master.  By Roald Dahl. I think i will rate this book a 3/5 it was not as good i  would think it would be.

  Matilda is a little girl who is far too good to be true. At age the age of five Matilda was a very smart young girl. she would knock off double-digit multiplication problems and was really good at reading. But  her classmates love her even though she's very smart and better then everyone, But everything is not perfect in Matilda's world. She had 3 nasty people in her life. the father the mother and her brother they were all very nasty to Matilda. By Roald Dahl I would rate this book a 4/5 because it was telling a important story about a young girls life.
