This book is about a boy called Stanley Yelnats. Stanley and his family has a curse on them because of his great grand father.Stanley was having an ordinary day until a boy Hector dropped a pair of stolen shoes on his head. Stanley got the blame and had to go to camp green lake.
once he gets there its totally different. there is no water and all he has to do is dig holes every were. The boy who stole the shoes came to camp green lake too. Stanley and Hector became friends and he dug holes for Stanley. One day Hector ran away from camp green lake. A couple days after Stanley ran away to find Hector. When Stanley found Hector he wan hiding underneath a boat. In the boat there were peaches that Zero had been eating. Stanley's great grand father said that he survived because he found god's thumb. When Stanley and Hector are walking around they find a mountain that looks like a thumb so they start to climb it because it's god's thumb and then Hector passes out. Stanley carries him up the mountain and gets rid of the curse on Stanley's family because he had to carry a Zeroni up the mountain. When they got to the top there were the sweetest onions ever and they ate heaps.
