This book is about two stupid people that do pranks on each other.
Mr twit never washes himself. He has a spiky beard and has lots of food in it.
Mrs twit is just as bad as Mr twit she has bad hair but she doesn't have facial hair like Mr Twit.   Mr and Mrs twit don't like each other or anyone else very much so the love to prank each other without worrying if they get hurt.
Mrs twit does lots of pranks to Mr twit like the glass eye prank. So when Mr twit was not looking she dropped her glass eye in to his beer, then when he had finished his beer he freaked out when he saw her glass eye in his drink.

But they can some times be clever.
Mr twit goes and puts super glue on this old dead tree to trap the birds and the next morning he goes and collects the birds for their bird pie. They do that every Wednesday for lunch.
They have a house and a garden and monkeys in a cage, there house looks like a prison.
The monkeys just sit in a cage and do nothing until Mr twit comes up with an idea to teach the monkeys how to stand on their heads.

Then a bird comes out of nowhere, it is a roly poly bird he could speak the monkeys language and the monkeys told roly poly bird to tell the other birds to not sit on the old dead tree its got super glue on it.
Then the monkeys and all the birds had an idea when the Twits were out to get the keys from the shed and get the monkeys out to make a plan to glue the carpet to the roof along with the furniture then when Mr and Mrs Twit got home with their shotguns, two birds flew over top of Mr and Mrs Twit and put glue on there head which they thought was poo. They went inside to load up there guns to shoot the birds but when they got inside and saw what the monkeys and birds had done they thought they were upside down so they turned themselves upside down and they got stuck there.
