This book is about a group of teenagers around about the age of 17/18 years old.They live in the country sort of near the outback.One day a teen called Ellie came up with a idea to go camping for 5 days.When they come back from their camping trip they find that the town is empty.They went to each other houses and found a fax from one of the teenagers parents saying that they had been held captive at the show ground and to go back into the bush.The whole of there town has been invaded by soldiers.later on in the book they fight back at the soldiers and some of the teens get injured.
