This book is about two girls that a live hard life but they are completely different. One day they meet each other and they end up becoming best friends. Both of the girls have problems at home which you find out about so they enjoy each others company.
So they secretly see each other after school some days. It's hard because one of the girls is rich and one is not so rich so they live in very different places. Until one day something happens to one of the girls and it's serious and the police and the news reporters and other kind of people get involved.
I really liked this book and I couldn't put it down because there was no boring bits at all and very interesting. This is my favourite Jacqueline Wilson book. I would recommend it if you like books that have you wondering what is going to happen next. I rate it 9/10
